CDC Updates Mask Guidance:
Protect against the Delta Variant and Promote a Safe Community for our Staff and Residents

To reduce the risk of becoming infected with the Delta variant and potentially spreading it to others, CDC recommends that fully vaccinated people:

-
Wear a mask in public indoor settings if they are in an area of substantial or high transmission.
-
Might choose to mask regardless of the level of transmission, particularly if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised or at increased risk for severe disease, or if someone in their household is unvaccinated.

In addition, CDC recommends universal indoor masking.

Getting vaccinated prevents severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. Unvaccinated people should get vaccinated and continue masking until they are fully vaccinated. With the Delta variant, this is more urgent than ever. CDC has updated guidance for fully vaccinated people based on new evidence on the Delta variant.

Prevention measures are still recommended for unvaccinated people. Getting vaccinated prevents severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. Unvaccinated people should get vaccinated and continue masking until they are fully vaccinated.
